50+ immigration expert letters and economic analyses
Through Buryi Economics, I have prepared more than 50 independent immigration expert letters, expert opinion letters, and economic impact analyses for EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1A, and other employment-based immigration petitions and RFEs.
My work includes EB-2 NIW national importance and economic impact evaluations, EB-1A and O-1A expert opinions, distinguished reputation analyses, leading or critical role evaluations, high salary and remuneration assessments, original contribution evaluations, technology and innovation impact analyses, market and industry studies, job creation estimates, productivity and cost-savings analysis, and assessments of broader U.S. economic benefits.
When a matter requires specialized technical or industry knowledge, Buryi Economics can also involve additional subject-matter experts to strengthen the analysis and provide credible, evidence-based support for immigration attorneys, petitioners, founders, executives, researchers, and technology professionals.
High salary and remuneration evaluations
I have also prepared high salary and remuneration evaluations for EB-1A, O-1A, and employment-based immigration matters, analyzing whether a beneficiary’s compensation is significantly above relevant industry and occupational benchmarks. These evaluations can incorporate salary data, total compensation, geographic and industry comparisons, percentile analysis, executive or specialized-role benchmarks, and supporting labor-market evidence to explain the economic significance of a petitioner’s remuneration.
Through Buryi Economics, I translate compensation data into a clear, independent expert opinion that attorneys and petitioners can use to support high salary, high remuneration, and extraordinary ability criteria in immigration petitions and RFEs.

Independent economic evaluation for an early-stage technology company
We recently completed an independent economic evaluation for an O-1A RFE involving an early-stage technology company.

Evaluation of a scalable preventive health and well-being initiative
We recently supported an EB-2 NIW matter involving a preventive health and well-being initiative designed for scalable implementation through community partners, existing infrastructure, and a digital platform.
The evaluation examined the program’s implementation model, scalability, partner structure, prior pilot experience, phased rollout, and potential for broader adoption and impact. We also brought in additional subject-matter experts so the analysis could address both the economic significance and the underlying field-specific issues.
This type of engagement reflects the work we do: evaluating innovative programs and translating implementation, market, and impact evidence into clear, independent analysis for immigration matters.
High salary and remuneration evaluation for a Principal Software Engineer
We recently completed an independent high salary and remuneration evaluation for an EB-1A matter involving a Principal Software Engineer in San Jose, California.
The analysis found that the beneficiary’s $265,000 base salary was approximately 94.9% above the national median for Software Developers, 23.4% above the published threshold for the highest-paid 10%, and 19.5% above the San Jose metropolitan mean. We also evaluated the broader compensation package, including a performance bonus, equity grant, and sign-on bonus, while keeping the base-salary comparison separate and conservative.
At Buryi Economics, we use occupation-specific, geographic, and government labor-market benchmarks to determine whether compensation is significantly high relative to others in the field. This type of analysis can support EB-1A and O-1A high salary or remuneration criteria, including responses to USCIS RFEs.
